Argiano’s history dates back to the construction of the villa, which dates back to the late 16th Century. By the time it was completed in 1596, it is believed the estate had started to produce wine (records show olive oil was being produced at this time).
The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese from root stock that is 100% organically farmed. The wine was fermented in cements tanks and aged for 30 months in 1000, 2000, and 3000 liter barriques.
The aromas of the wine are rich with cherry, strawberry, and fresh roses. Typical of the region and grape, but the unique aromas of hay and straw add complexity and depth. The flavor is racey. Bright tannins with fresh acidity create an exceptional finish.
